Bangladesh Music Research Academy recently worked on the romantic songs of kazi Nazrul Islam and to promote Nazrul Sangeet to the new generation, BMRA organized a program entitled "ABAR VALOBASHAR SHADH JAGE" on 16 February 2012. In this program Dr. A T M Farhad-UZ-Zaman Palash recited  romantic poems of Nazrul Islam and Mousumi Chaterjee and Saiful Islam entertained the audience with popular romantic songs of Nazrul Islam. The program was sponsored by Dhaka Bank Ltd.

Bangladesh Music Research Academy has successfully celebrated 1st Anniversary on 5th Dec 2011 and published “Annual Magazine-2011” edited by Dr. Pranabananda Chakraborty where distinguish musical intellectuals of our country  have given their articles, among them Dr. Musharrat Shabnam, Dr. Pradip Kumar Nandi, Classical Vocal Artiste Anil Kumar Saha,  Indian Artiste and Writer Mahua Sen, Sarwar Khan Milon, Sumon Md. Hafij, Moushumi Chatterji noticeable.

The program started with the welcome speech of G. M. Saiful Islam where he expressed the Aim and Objective of this Organization. Afterward Pakhawaj Artiste Sushen Kumar Roy played Pakhawaj which surrounded the whole auditorium with divine rhythmic harmony.  Soon after, Sholock Hossain performed Raga Maru Bihag along with his borther Swarup Hossain in Tabla,who are the descendents of Famous Shangeet shadhok  Ustad Mozzammel Hossain. After this performance Nishit Dey, son of shangit Guru Shanjib dey played Sitar that was the most gorgeous part of the program.  Eventually audience enjoyed the performance of Raga Jog by Shangit Guru and Classical Vocal Artiste Asit Dey.

In the end the chief Guest shanjib Dey expressed his valuable viewpoints and opinions to the audience and distributed certificate to the participants of Workshop organized by BMRA.
